I love every wedding that I photograph and I consider it a real privilege that people let me in to document what is one of the most important days in their lives. No two weddings are the same and each really does end up reflecting the personality of the bride and groom. Jodie and Bradley’s wedding at Fazeley Studios was a wonderful relaxed affair full of love and laughter, it really was such a joyous occasion and a real thrill to be involved in such a special day.
It was my first time photographing at Fazeley Studios and I have to say what an amazing venue it is. The interior spaces are just stunning, the centrepiece Grand Gallery reception room is a beautifully renovated Unitarian Chapel which dates from 1876. The building has been wonderfully restored and still contains many of the original period features which help to give the building its charm and character. Then just outside you have access to all the amazing urban street art and graffiti that is on the surrounding streets of Digbeth which can be used to give a real contrast to the photographs.
I also need to say a few words about the amazing close-up Paul Grundle who kept the guests entertained after the ceremony. As someone who is a bit of a magic nerd I have to say that Paul is one of the best magicians that I’ve seen, he really kept the guests amazed and dumbfounded.
Here’s a few pictures from Jodie and Bradley’s wonderful wedding (including a selfie of yours truly in the very last photograph) . . .
