Last Saturday I made the short hop across Birmingham City Centre for Kyleigh and Joe’s amazing wedding at The Bond Company in Digbeth.
I met up with Kyleigh and her bridesmaids early on the wedding morning at her apartment in Edgbaston where the bridal preparations were in full swing. Hair was by the lovely Amy Newton from Perfexion Hair (whose wedding I photographed last year with my good friend Amy-Rose) and makeup was by Lucy Cook from The Glam Room. All the bridesmaids looked amazing in their deep blue Jolie Moi dresses whilst Kyleigh looked absolutely stunning in her vintage inspired wedding dress which was from Your Wedding Shop in Birmingham.
Over at The Bond Company Joe and his groomsmen were greeting the guests as they arrived for the ceremony. They wore steel blue suits from Moss Bross with deep blue cravats to match the bridesmaids outfits. Kylie arrived at the venue in her white Overfinch Range Rover and made her way into The Waterside room for the ceremony.
When we met for their pre-wedding meeting Kyleigh and Joe stressed how important it was for their wedding to reflect their love of Birmingham and its industrial heritage. By holding their wedding at The Bond Company they certainly ticked all of the necessary boxes. The former Victorian canalside warehouse boast some amazing architecture which provided a great backdrop for their wedding. Straight after the ceremony Kyleigh and Joe hopped onto a narrow boat for a (very) short jaunt down the Grand Union Canal before heading back into the Waterside Room for a wedding breakfast with their guests.
As well as reflecting Birmingham, the other big theme for their wedding was West Bromwich Albion. The whole venue was decked in white and blue; with bunting, tables and seat covers being adorned in the team colours of The Baggies. Even the wedding cake featured an Albion scarf draped around the miniature groom.
After the wedding breakfast was finished everyone made their way over to The Gatehouse room to meet with the evening guests and join quizmaster general Stoo Pitway for a wedding themed SpeedQuizzing quiz before the boys from Key DJ’s got the dancefloor moving.
Here’s a few pictures from Kyleigh and Joe’s wonderful wedding . . .
