I live in a wonderfully wonky Victorian house in Harborne on the outskirts of Birmingham with my amazing wife and our two crazy but beautiful daughters. My favourite thing in the world is travelling, I think I’ve been to 52 different countries so far. When I’m not shooting weddings or jaunting off on our family adventures you’ll probably find me curled up on the sofa devouring the latest film or box set (I’ve still not recovered from Breaking Bad). I can’t live without black coffee, good music, a nice glass of scotch and a strong WiFi connection! I also have rather worrying addiction to Excel Spreadsheets!
My love of people is one of the key things that inspired me to become a wedding photographer / videographer. I’ve been shooting weddings professionally since 2012 and I absolutely love it! From the anticipation of the wedding morning through to the craziness of the evening party, you can’t beat the thrill and excitement of an epic wedding day. And best of all is that I get to meet and hang out with loads of new people that are in love.
My couples love to have a good time, and the last thing they want is a cheesy photographer / videographer that bosses people about and makes them pose all day. My wedding style is relaxed and natural. I capture all the fun and special moments, and let you get on with having an awesome time. We’ll squeeze in a few epic portraits and family shots along the way too for good measure, but I like to keep these as short as possible so that you can spend your wedding day with your friends and family.
Here’s a quick lowdown of some of my favourite things . . .
Film – Pulp Ficton or Toy Story 3 – Probably opposite ends of the cinematic spectrum
TV – Anything with Grayson Perry – Such a brilliant artist and presenter
Album – The Beach Boys Pet Sounds – A heartbreaking and beautiful album that I keep returning to
Book – Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer – A gripping account of the ill-fated 1996 Mt Everest expedition
Beer – Purity Longhorn – I love beer!
Cocktail – Old fashioned – I used to be a mojito man until I discovered whisky
Crisps – Pickled Onion Monster Munch – I like crisps that make my eyes water
Restaurant – Harborne Kitchen – So lucky to have this amazing restaurant on my doorstep
Place – Rio de Janeiro – A city with beaches, mountains, brilliant bars, samba and cachaça
If your wedding is all about having fun and you don’t care about formalities or ugly chair covers – you just want to eat, drink and be merry with all your favourite people, then give me a shout as I’d love to document your big day.
