At the end of July I made my first visit to Crockwell Farm to photograph Grace and Antonio’s wonderful wedding. Crockwell Farm is a lovely family run wedding venue set amongst the Northamptonshire countryside just outside the town of Daventry
I met with Grace and her bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding at Crockwell Farm for the bridal preparations. It was very much a home grown affair with grace doing her own hair and her future sister-in-law (who runs her own beauty company, Beautiano) doing makeup. Just before leaving for the ceremony Grace donned her stunning Anna Sorrano wedding dress, which was from WED2B, whilst her bridesmaids wore lovely lilac and pink dresses from ASOS.
Grace and her bridal party then made their way to St Lawrence Church in Towcester for the ceremony in a stunning white vintage Austin Princess which was from Premier Carriage. Waiting at the top of the aisle, looking very dapper in his Moss Bros black tuxedo and dicke bow, was Antonio. It was a hugely entertaining ceremony which featured the rector Paula Challen pulling numerous items, including Kendal Mint Cake, out of her giant bible for guiding Grace and Antonio through their marriage.
With the legal formalities completed everyone then headed outside for confetti before making their way back to Crockwell Farm for the drinks reception, canapes and some garden games too. The vintage inspired fete garden games (from Applewood Event Hire) were a great touch to the day and kept the kids, and plenty of the adults, entertained throughout the afternoon. Also on hand was classical guitarist Paul Martin who provided a musical accompaniment to the proceedings.
With the drinks quaffed and the rats splatted (that’s one of the garden games!) everyone then headed inside for the stunning wedding breakfast which also featured some homemade limoncello which had been brewed by Grace and Antonio. With the speeches completed it was back outside again to make the most of the summer sunshine before the DJ Anthony Foreman from Discorocks DJ Hire got the dancefloor moving for the evening reception.
Before I finish I’d like to say a massive thank you to Grace and Antonio for having me along to their wonderful Crockwell Farm wedding, it was a real pleasure to have been part of their special day. I also like to say a big thanks to Ben from Foster Filming who did an epic job with his video camera and Jack Haddon Florist who provided the stunning flowers. Here’s a few images from Grace and Antonio’s amazing day . . .
