I love Jess & Chris, they are a brilliant couple and it was a real pleasure to photograph their wedding. It was such a fantastic day: two stunning venues, two lovely families, a great bunch of friends and a brilliant band to round off the day.
The morning of the wedding was a beautiful bright and crisp winter day when I met up with the bridal party early at Hampton Manor to capture the pre-wedding preparations. I was greeted on arrival by a pair of deer on the driveway, but despite my cameras being ready on the passenger seat, they scarpered before I could bring my car to a stop.
The wedding ceremony took place at St Mary’s and St Bartholomew’s which is a beautiful old church adjacent to Hampton Manor. Jess looked stunning in her White Rose Bridall dress from Maureen Myring Kesterton with the groom’s men dressed in grey suits from Moss Bros with detailing to perfectly match the bridesmaids dresses.
After the ceremony everyone returned to Hampton Manor for the wedding breakfast, speeches and the evening reception. Evening entertainment was provided by the brilliant Function Fever band who kept the dance floor rocking with a range of rock, pop, soul and funk hits. I’m not sure if it was the effects of the music, the band or drinks but I don’t think I’ve seen a bunch of wedding guests party so hard – they were absolutely mad for it!
I’d also like to say another big thank you to Jo from Jo Grumett Photography who was my second shooter for the day. Here’s a few pictures from Jess and Chris’ big day . . .
