Last Friday I had an amazing day photographing Nicola and Dan’s wonderful wedding at The Park House Hotel in Shifnal. It was a lovely day with blistering sunshine to compliment a beautiful family celebration. I met up with the bridal party at Nicola’s parents’ house in Great Wyrley for the bridal preparations . . . and bacon sandwiches! Once everyone was ready Nicola made her way to The Park House Hotel in a stunning Bauford car which was provided by Stylishly Classic Wedding Cars.
The wedding had a black and white theme and was sprinkled with lots of personal touches from the Bride and Groom. This was best shown with Nicola and Dan’s love of rock music reflected in the table names, grandma was sat on AC/DC! Nicola and Dan’s beautiful 20 month old son, Kody, had a prominent role in the day. There was also a surprise special guest from Nicola’s past in the shape of one of her favourite toys . . . My Pet Monster, who came resplendently dressed in his best orange handcuffs (take that Christian Grey!).
The evening entertainment was provided by The Runaway Babies who kept the dancefloor rocking with a great mix of modern and classic music. They expertly played Nicola and Dan’s first dance, a stunning cover of Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters. The band come highly recommended by me as they belted out a great version of one of my favourite songs to finish off the evening, The Killers Mr Brightside.
If you want to know what a wedding photographer’s teeth look like you can inspect my fillings on the dancefloor selfie included below in the pictures from Nicola and Dan’s amazing day . . .
Stunning coverage of fun wedding, caught some great moments dude. Loving that dance floor selfie LOL!
Cheers Darren, it was a really fun day, nice venue, great food, top band . . . shame about my fillings!
