Last weekend I was back at the stunning Shustoke Farm Barns in Coleshill for Tasha and Peter’s wonderful wedding. I met with Tasha and her bridesmaids early on the morning of the big day for the bridal preparations at The Lodge at Dovehouse Farm, which is near to the Warwickshire village of Shustoke. The cottage was a flurry of activity with the girls being busy with their make-up whist Millie from The Style Lounge in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter tousled and teased hair. It was a morning which featured plenty of hot chocolate and a few surprise gifts which had been sent by Peter the Groom. Before departing for the ceremony Tasha slipped into her beautiful Mori Lee dress which was from Wedding Belles of Banbury whilst the bridesmaids wore matching green dresses which were from Coast. The girls made their way to the church in Cleo, a stunning fully restored 1960’s split screen VW camper van from VW Camper Van Hire.

The wedding ceremony was held at St Mary’s Church in Selly Oak on the outskirts of Birmingham. The service was an especially personal affair for Jim the vicar as Tasha is his step daughter. After the formalities of the ceremony, which was followed by the customary throwing of confetti, the bride and groom jumped into Cleo and made their way over to Shustoke Farm Barns for the reception. Shustoke Barns is a beautiful venue which consists of a series of red brick, 18th-Century former farm buildings surrounding a lovely olive tree planted courtyard. It really is visually stunning and creates many impressive backdrops for photos. Tasha and Peter are both into their sports and even kitted the courtyard out with a badminton net and found time to squeeze in a quick few rallies whilst dressed in their wedding finery!

After the wedding breakfast, as the evening drew in, the guests made the most of the courtyard fire pits by toasting marshmallows. Whilst inside The Confidentials kept the dance floor packed with two sets of guitar based stompers from the 60’s to the present day. Here’s a few pictures from Tasha and Peter’s big day . . .
