On the Queens Diamond Jubilee weekend I was lucky enough to be invited by Stephen and his daughter, Chloë, to photograph their grant of arms ceremony at Birmingham Council House. A grant of arms ceremony is where a person and his or her descendants obtain the right to bear a particular coat of arms or armorial bearings. It was a really spectacular day, with the letters patent being delivered in the council chamber, followed with a drinks reception and dinner in the banqueting suite. Some of my favourite images from the day are shown below.
