Last weekend I was at The Fairlawns in Aldridge to photograph Emma and Matt’s wonderful wedding. We started the day at Gemini Salon where the hair and makeup artists were busy preparing the bridal party for the day ahead. Champagne (and slush puppies) were flowing to ensure that everyone was in high spirits. It was then back to Emma’s house to finish the preparations and get her into the wedding dress before heading off to The Fairlawns in a white Bentley from Home James Limousines.
Emma was walked down the aisle and given away by her younger brother Kieran, who also did a sterling job during the emotional speeches after the wedding breakfast. Emma looked stunning in her white lace dress which was from Red Rose Bridal of Birmingham whilst the men wore slate grey suits from Peter Posh.
Once the formalities were completed everyone headed outside onto the terrace for the drinks reception and formal photos. At this point I should take time to say a big thank you and a massive high five to Emma and Matt’s oldest son Tyler, who despite being sick due to a stomach bug, was very brave and managed to join his Mum and Dad for a few formal pictures before retiring to the comfort of a blanket on the sofa. There was also some emergency trouser zip repair required for best man Kesh who managed to burst out of his trousers during the photos.
As the evening drew in we snuck off into the nearby fields for a few sunset portraits before heading back to The Fairlawns for the evening reception. Here’s a few pictures from Emma and Matt’s big day . . .
