Although I’m primarily a documentary wedding photographer I still like to spend a little bit of time on a wedding day shooting a few epic portraits. At a couple of points throughout the day I’ll whisk the bride and groom away from the main group to get a few portraits of them on their own. I’ll also arrange for a few formal family shots too, as these are often important pictures for parents.
Being as I’m primarily a reportage / documentary style photographer, for the majority of the day, I try to be as hands off as I can. Working discreetly to capture real moments and allowing you to spend as much time enjoying your big day with your family and friends as possible. During the formal group shots and portrait session parts of the day I work a little differently, giving plenty of help and direction to ensure that everyone looks their best. Most importantly of all I try to make the experience fun.
