Back at the start of April I made my first visit of the year to the stunning Blackwell Grange at Shipston-on-Stour in the Warwickshire Cotswolds for Rach and Matt’s epic wedding. I first met Rach and Matt, who are wedding videographers, when we were all shooting Jennifer and Anthony’s super stylish wedding at Somerford Hall last summer. It was a real pleasure to see them again and to photograph their own special day.

I met with Rachel and her bridal party in The Potting Shed, a dedicated bridal prep room, at Blackwell Grange. It was a flurry of activity with makeup being done by Laura Jayne and Kerry Louise whist coiffuring duties were being handled by Sophie Louise Hair. As the ceremony approached Rach eased into her stunning white wedding dress, which was from Continental Collection of Barnt Green, whilst her bridesmaids wore matching dark blue dresses which were from Coast. Meanwhile, over in the Orchard Barn, Matt and his groomsmen were making their final preparations and ensuring everything was in place for the day ahead. They all looked very sharp in their deep blue three piece suits which were from Debenhams.

The ceremony, which took place in the 16th Century Thatch Barn, was a wonderful affair full of emotion, joy and happiness. Following the exchange of rings and the signing of the register, Rach and Matt then made their exit from the barn to a shower of confetti.

During the drinks reception the guests were entertained by singer / songwriter Brooklyn Rose who belted out a range of contemporary and classic songs. There was also a surprise turn on the microphone from the groom Matt who beautifully serenaded his new bride (I definitely spotted a few leaky eyes!). The guests then made their way into the Orchard Barn for a stunning three course wedding breakfast which was followed by some very funny and also very touching speeches.

For the evening reception fresh made pizzas were served from the outdoor brick pizza oven, whist inside DJ Ant Murray got the dance floor moving. Before I sign off I need to say a massive thank you again to Rach and Matt for having me along to photograph their wonderful wedding, it was a real pleasure to have been involved in such a special day. Also a big also a big thanks to Stuart at Skies Are Blue who did a sterling job on the videography.

Here’s a few pictures from Rach and Matt’s epic wedding . . .
