Back at the end of July I was at the stunning Somerford Hall for Jennifer and Anthony’s wonderful wedding. Somerford Hall is an 18th-century, grade II listed Palladian style mansion house at Brewood in Staffordshire. The present building, which was built around the 1730’s, is a stunning location for a wedding. The beautifully restored house is exclusive use and set in 200 acres of landscaped parkland in the Staffordshire countryside between Cannock, Stafford and Wolverhampton.

I met with Jennifer on the morning of the wedding at The Beauty Rooms, a hair and beauty salon that is actually part of the Somerford Hall estate. Once hair and makeup were completed Jennifer headed over to The Butler’s Cottage to finish her preparations with her bridesmaids. With breakfast eaten and some champagne supped it was then time for the girls to get Jennifer into her incredible Enzoani wedding dress which was from Lisa Rose Bridal in Solihull.

The ceremony took place at St Peter and St Paul’s Church Wolverhampton, only a short journey by vintage Rolls Royce from Somerford Hall. Waiting for his bride at the altar, Anthony, looked incredibly dapper in his two piece Moss Bros tuxedo suit complete with dickie bow. The ceremony was a lovely affair which saw hymns, readings and eulogies before Jennifer and Anthony exchanged rings to become husband and wife. With the legal formalities completed the congregation then headed outside to shower the bride and groom with confetti before heading back to Somerford Hall.

On their arrival at the Staffordshire venue the guests were treated to a drinks reception which was followed by an Italian themed wedding breakfast, complete with limoncello. Providing a musical accompaniment to the proceedings was Nick “the piano man” Wiley, who entertained the guests with a selection of instrumental songs from across the years. The pièce de résistance being a singalong version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody which included Freddie Mercury moustaches for some of the ladies!

Evening entertainment was provided by Synergy Band, a mediterranean styled trio who blasted out a selection of chart hits re-worked in a flamenco style which kept the dancefloor hopping all night. Before I sign off I must say a massive thank you to Jennifer and Anthony for having me along to photograph their stunning wedding, it was a truly beautiful day (we even got rainbows during portraits!) and it was a real pleasure to have been part of it. Also it was great to have worked with Matt and Rach from Here’s a Little Story who were videographers for the day. Here’s 50 pictures from Jennifer and Anthony’s wonderful wedding . . .
