For my first blog post of 2024 I’m going to jump back to one of my favourite weddings of 2023, Amy and Luke’s stunning wedding at the wonderful Cripps Barn near Bibury, Gloucestershire. Cripps Barn is a beautifully restored 18th century Cotswold stone barn which is full of rustic charm, set in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. I love shooting at the Cripps and Co. family of venues such as; Stone Barn, Shustoke Barn and Old Gore Barn, they’re all super stylish and incredibly well run so it was a real pleasure to have been the Cripps Barn wedding photographer for Amy and Luke’s special day.

On the morning of the wedding I met with Amy and her bridal party at Ashwell Barn in the village of Chedworth, a short hop away from the venue. It was a hive of activity with with Andrea Luella busy on hair duties whist Bryony Dalton did make-up. As the wedding ceremony drew closer Amy eased into her stunning Lillian West wedding dress, which was from TDR Bridal, whist her bridesmaids wore matching gowns which were from Azazie. To make her way to the ceremony Amy hitched a lift with Suzie, from Kushi Cars, and her Bollywood themed Hindustan Ambassador. Definitely one of the more quirky and fun ways to arrive for your wedding.

Meanwhile over at Cripps Barn, Luke, looking very dapper in his sharp three piece suit which was from Henry’s of Banbury, waited waited patiently for the arrival of his bride. The barn, which had been loving decorated by the floral magicians from Go Wild Flowers looked absolutely stunning. With the arrival of the bride in the vintage Indian car we then had everything in place for the wedding ceremony. The ceremony itself was a wonderful affair held in front of Amy and Luke’s closest friends and family. Once the vows had been completed, the rings exchanged and the legal paperwork signed everyone showered the newly married couple with confetti as they exited the barn for the start of the drinks reception.

The guests made the most of the amazing spaces that Cripps Barn has to offer, from the cosy indoor areas to the expansive lawns outside, where garden games were played. We also made good use the outdoor spaces too for some quick couples portraits. Making sure to hook up again with Suzie from Kushi Cars and the Indian styled Hindustan Ambassador for some more quirky and unique pictures. With the canapes scoffed and the drinks quaffed, the wedding party then made their way back inside for a stunning three course wedding breakfast provided by the amazing team of in-house chefs.

For the evening reception the Boom Town wedding band kept the dancefloor packed with music for all tastes. We had songs from the 50’s to current chart hits which made sure shapes were thrown into the early hours. Before I sign off I must say a huge thank you to Amy and Luke for having me along as their Cripps Barn wedding photographer. It was a real pleasure to have been part of such an amazing, super stylish and super fun wedding day. Here’s 50 photos to give you a look at this spectacular Cotswolds wedding . . .
