At the end of 2022 I returned to one of my favourite West Midlands wedding venues, the stunning Shustoke Barn near Coleshill on the Warwickshire / West Midlands border. Shustoke Barn is a magnificent 18th-century rustic red brick barn that has been transformed into a spectacular wedding venue by Cripps & Co. I was making my return to the venue for Zoe and Josh’s spectacular wedding last November.

I met with Zoe and her bridesmaids at her house in Coventry on the morning of the wedding. It was a hive of activity with the ever amazing Harper from Makeup by Harper busy on the brushes ensuring all the girls looked their best. We were also joined by Dusty the dog who kept everyone on their toes by trying to pinch bits of breakfast (when he wasn’t chomping down on raw carrots!). As the ceremony time approached Zoe donned her stunning white wedding dress which was from Wed2Be.

Meanwhile over at Shustoke Barn Josh was busy greeting the guests as they arrived for the ceremony, he looked incredibly dapper in his blue three piece suit which was from Peter Posh formal suit hire. The venue looked resplendent in the early afternoon light. The stunning autumnal flowers were provided by Penny Johnson Flowers and signage throughout was provided by Sophie Eloise Calligraphy.

The ceremony was a wonderful affair conducted in front of the bride and groom’s closest friends and family. With the legal formalities completed everyone then made their way into the bar area to enjoy the drinks reception and dodge the passing rain showers outside. Thankfully the rain didn’t last long and we still had time to make the most of the wonderful outdoor spaces the venue has to offer for group photos and some portraits of the happy couple.

With the photos completed Zoe, Josh and their guests then headed back into the main barn for the wedding breakfast. This was followed by the speeches before everyone donned their dancing pants (I don’t think they were Aldi pants . . . see the photos below!) for the evening reception. And those dancing pants were very much needed as the evening entertainment was provided by the amazing Loud Noises Brass Band. The band blasted out 2 sets of brass backed hits from across the decades featuring soul, funk, disco, hip-hop and pop bangers. Havoc was wreaked, shapes were thrown and air trombones were played. An amazing time was had by all as Loud Noises Brass kept the dance floor rocking until the small hours.

Before I sign off I’d like to say a massive thank you to Zoe and Josh for having me along to document their Shustoke Barn wedding. It was a real privilege to have been able to spend such a memorable day with you and your friends and families. Here’s 50 photos to give you a glimpse of their stunning Shustoke Barn wedding day . . .
