At the end of July I had the huge pleasure of photographing Laura and Paul’s epic wedding at the stunning Ashes Barns Wedding Venue at Endon near Stoke-on-Trent. It was an amazing day spent celebrating with friends and family which included lots of love, a lot of laughter and a lot of ping pong.
I met with Laura and her bridesmaids at The Stables dressing room at The Ashes on the morning of the big day. It was a great space for the girls to get ready in which had only just opened after being converted from the former stables of the West Barn. The wonderful Sharon Cannon, whom I’d last worked with at Anya and Ben’s wedding, was busy doing bridal makeup whilst Amelia Hairstyling was kept occupied on coiffure duties. As the guests started to the arrive the bridesmaids got into their Sorella Vita dresses, which were from White Rose Bridal of Stafford, before helping Laura into her stunning Justin Alexander wedding dress, which was from Bridal Couture by Josephine.
Awaiting for his bride in the West Barn, Paul looked very dapper in his sharp three piece suit which was from Peter Posh. The barn had been beautifully decorated by Sarah Plant Floral Design, who also provided Laura’s perfect pink peony bouquet. The civil ceremony was a lovely affair with Laura and Paul saying their vows whilst being flanked on both sides by their nearest and dearest. With the rings exchanged and the register signed everyone then headed out into the courtyard for the drinks reception, which featured some very interesting cocktail concoctions, before heading into the East Barn for a stunning three course wedding breakfast.
Once the wedding breakfast had been finished and speeches completed everyone headed back outside to celebrate with Laura and Paul over a few more drinks and some very competitive games of ping pong. As the evening drew in Sound Solutions Entertainment got the dancefloor rocking until the early hours. Before I sign off I have to say a massive thank you to Laura and Paul for having me along to shoot their wedding, it was such a fun and relaxed day and it was a real pleasure to be able to spend it with them, their families and friends. Here’s 50 photos from their amazing wedding day . . .
