Last weekend was all about Hannah and Joe and their epic two day wedding at Hampton Manor and Edgbaston Priory Tennis Club.
On Friday I met with Hannah, her bridesmaids and her cute little boy, Arthur, at Hampton Manor at Hampton in Arden on the outskirts of Solihull. Hampton Manor is a fantastic, characterful venue, that I love to shoot at. The estate has a long history whose origins trace back to the Domesday Book, includes links to Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Robert Peel, the founder of the modern police force. The current Grade II listed Tudor gothic style building dates back to 1855, is architecturally stunning and has lots of brilliant photo opportunities.
When I arrived the bridal preparations were in full swing in the Sarah Ireland room with By Jodie hair and Makeup busy styling Hannah’s intricate hair do. Just down the corridor Joe and his best man, Nathan, were readying themselves with a sneaky Brew Dog as they eased into their Peter Posh suits. As the guests started to arrive downstairs Hannah slipped into her stunning white dress which was from The Wedding Club in Birmingham.
The civil ceremony was held in The Birches, a rustic barn which is separate to the main manor house. The guests enjoyed a beautiful ceremony as the bright winter sunshine filtered through the windows into the barn. With the formalities completed everyone headed outside for the traditional throwing of the confetti before the cold winter air had the wedding party rushing for the warmth (and drinks) awaiting at Elizabeth’s Court in the main Manor House. There they were served a delicious array of Canapés whilst Jester Styles Magic was on hand to melt minds by producing ice out of thin air and bending cutlery prior to the wedding breakfast (thankfully those used for the meal were left unaffected!). The first day of the wedding celebrations were rounded off with speeches where Nathan took star turn as Michael Aspel for a This Is Your Life themed best man’s speech.
On Saturday the wedding moved to Edgbaston Priory Tennis Club for the evening reception. There we were treated to a blazing evening of music which was provided by The Beat Six who kept the dance floor packed with epic dancing. Crazy shapes were thrown and Joe let everyone know that he’s sexy and he knows it! Here’s a few pictures from Hanna and Joe’s epic wedding . . .
2 day wedding! Only Joe and Hannah!
The photos are stunning and capture the atmosphere perfectly. Love how they are informal too.
Stunning bride and awesome groom, I would like to bet they are still walking on air. Many heartfelt congratulations to a gorgeous couple xx
