Back at the start of June I made the long drive from Birmingham to Cheshire to photograph Sujni and Matt’s fantastic fusion wedding at Pryors Hayes Golf Club on the outskirts of Chester.

I met with Sujni and her bridal party early on the morning of the wedding at Hillside House at Tarvin. It was a flurry of activity with hair being done by Bridal Hair by Lindsey and makeup by Makeup By Elle. With this being a fusion wedding there were going to be two ceremonies, with the first being an Indian Hindu ceremony. Sujni was preparing for this by wearing a stunning saree which was from Kala Niketan. With the girls nearly ready I made the short hop down the road to The Royal Oak at Kelsall to meet up with Matt and his best man as they donned their traditional Indian style wedding outfits which were from Ladlee Direct in Leicester.

With the bride and groom ready everyone made their way to Pryors Hayes Golf Club for the Hindu ceremony. It was a colourful affair performed under a mandap, which was from Sapphire Events, and featured many traditional elements including; the exchanging of flower garlands during the jai mala, the tying of the bride and groom’s garments during the saptapadi and the performing of the agni pradakshina around the sacred fire. With all the rituals completed and the ceremony finished everyone then headed outside for the drinks reception and a few group photos.

Sujni and Matt then left the party to get changed into their traditional western outfits in preparation for the second ceremony of the day. For the civil ceremony Sujni wore a beautiful Anna Sorrano wedding dress which was from Wed2B and Matt a stylish blue three piece suit which was from Debenhams. The civil ceremony took place outside in the celebration garden at Pryors Hayes and we were joined by the hairiest ring of bearers in the form of Nelson, Sujni and Matt’s very cute dog.

With all the legal formalities completed and after a quick spin around the golf course in a couple of buggies for some portraits, everyone then headed back inside for the wedding breakfast. For the evening reception many of the guests entertained themselves in the garden with two beer pong tables before heading inside for some dancefloor action where Cheshire Wedding DJ was throwing down a mix of tunes from sixties and soul, to Britpop and Bhangra.

Before I sign off I must just say a massive thank you to Sujni and Matt for having me along to capture their epic Pryors Hayes Golf Club Wedding, it was a great day spent with a great bunch of friends and two fantastic families. I also need to say a big thanks to Lee from Sofranc Films who did an epic job on video duties. Here’s a few images from Sujni and Matt’s special day . . .
