Back at the start of June I made my second visit of the year to the brilliant Blackwell Grange in the Warwickshire Cotswolds for Nicola and Pete’s super-fun wedding.

On the morning of the wedding I met up with Nicola and the rest of the bridal party at The George Townhouse in Shipston-on-Stour. The ladies from Mode Bridal were busy on hair and makeup duties whilst the bridesmaids were busy ensuring the champagne glasses were kept topped up. This activity was somewhat hindered with a rather lively bottle of fizz which insisted on exploding everywhere when opened! With the champagne dried up the girls then had to head out through the torrential rain to make their way to Blackwell Grange in order to finish their preparations at the venue.

For the ceremony, which took place in the Thatched Barn, Nicola wore a stunning white Mori Lee wedding dress which was from Special Occasions Bridal Wear of Coventry whilst Pete wore a sharp blue three piece suit from Peter Posh. The ceremony was a lovely affair held in front of the bride and groom’s nearest and dearest. With the legal formalities completed Nicola and Pete left the Thatched Barn to a shower of confetti before heading across the gardens to start the drinks reception. Once the drinks had been quaffed the guests then made their way into the orchard barn for an amazing wedding breakfast prepared by the culinary wizards from Galloping Gourmet.

With the wedding breakfast and speeches finished the guests then hit the lawns at Blackwell Grange for some garden games and sports based fun. At previous weddings I’ve had a bride on bouncy castle, a bride playing badminton but now I’ll have to add a bride playing Cricket and football to the list. Nicola got stuck in to some excellent batting and then put people through their paces with a spot of fast bowling too! As the evening wore on the DJ from Major Entertainment got the dance floor moving inside with a wide selection of tunes from across the years.

Before I sign off I’d like to say a massive thanks to Nicola and Pete for having me along to their wonderful wedding, it was a real pleasure to have been part of such a fun celebration. Here’s a few photos from their brilliant day at Blackwell Grange . . .
