Staffordshire Wedding Photographer – Laura and Dave

Laura and Dave married two weekends ago in wonderful family wedding held in the Staffordshire villages of Gentleshaw and Hill Ridware near Rugeley.

On the morning of the wedding I met up with the bridal party at Laura’s house in Cannock. It was great to see Gemma again from Salon G in Bearwood who was doing hair and makeup – she also did the bridal prep for Emma and Richard’s recent wedding at Berrow Court. Gemma is a close friend of Laura and was also a guest at the wedding.

As a photographer I absolutely love the bridal preparations part of the day as the anticipation and excitement of the morning is really infectious. Laura’s bridesmaids; Nat, Kat, Becks and Teasmade (yes you did read that correctly!) were great company and kept the champagne . . . and tea flowing all morning. Once the hair and makeup were finished Laura put on her stunning Private Label by G wedding dress which was from Celebrity Stores of Bridgtown near Cannock. I absolutely loved the vintage style bridesmaid’s dresses which were from M&S. The stunning flowers and bouquets were provided by Carrie Lucas Flowers and the groomsmen’s sharp suits were from Dapper Dan of Wednesfield.

Laura and her dad made their way to Gentleshaw Church in a beautiful 1930’s styled Beauford Tourer which was hired from His and Hers Wedding Cars of Colton. I’ve been to a couple of weddings now which have used Beauford cars and I have to say that they look quite stunning and are real head turners.

After the ceremony the wedding party made their way to Mavesyn Rigware Village Hall (which is confusingly in Hill Ridware) for an afternoon tea themed wedding breakfast which was provided by Agatha’s Tea Party of Stafford. Evening entertainment was provided by the brilliant band, The Happenings, who drove all the way from Abergavenny and the evening meal was provided by a marvellous mobile fish and chip waggon.
