Two weekends ago I made my second visit of the year to the wonderful Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire. I love shooting weddings there as it’s such a great venue, consisting of a series of interlinked 17th century stone and oak barns set in the rural Northamptonshire countryside. I was there to shoot Kara and Sam’s wedding and had such an amazing time. I was made to feel so incredibly welcome by Kara, Sam, their families and friends – you couldn’t wish to meet a nicer group of people.
The ceremony took place in the Mortain Barn at Dodford Manor and featured a poem by the happy couple which referenced Breaking Bad (yay!) and TOWIE (booo!). Kara looked absolutely stunning in her Charlotte Balbier dress from Brides of Ashby, with makeup done by Liza Smith and hair by Donna Fuller of Angelic. The groomsmen wore suits from Next and the flowers for the venue were by Jack Haddon. I’d also like to say a big thank you to my second shooter Jo Grumett and to videographer David Grace who were both a real pleasure to work with.
Kara and Sam both love going to the races so gave the wedding breakfast a bit of a horsey theme. The tables were named after famous race horses and the favours consisted of an envelope which contained a randomly allocated bet from the Grand National. Here’s a few pictures from the Kara and Sam’s big day . . . Kong bird breaking flutter U2 are nutters!
Oh, and I can’t finish this posting without showing Sam’s moves . . .
